  • Disney's THE LION KING

    Africa Fashion Week London is proud to announce a new partnership with Disney’s THE LION KING for AFWL2025.

    The collaboration will open the 7pm catwalk showcase on Saturday, 9 August at Space House, London, with a special performance from Disney's award-winning West End musical, THE LION KING. AFWL2025 audiences will experience the power of The Circle of Life, the opening track from the iconic show.

    Space House London

    Space House, also known as One Kemble Street and formerly Civil Aviation Authority House (CAA House), is an architecturally notable building off Kingsway in the London Borough of Camden. It is a grade II-listed building with Historic England. Like nearby Centre Point, it was built for the developer Harry Hyams as part of the 1960s commercial property boom and kept empty for several years after completion.

  • British Council

    Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL) is proud to announce its partnership with the British Council to present the Creative DNA initiative in a first-of-its-kind international collaboration set to spotlight the vibrant next generation of African fashion.

    As part of the Creative DNA initiative, ten emerging fashion designers from Ethiopia, Uganda, Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria will take part in an immersive programme during Africa Fashion Week London 2025. All ten designers are alumni of the Creative DNA Accelerator Programme, which nurtures early-career talent from across the continent.

    Adire Oodua Training & Textile Hub

    The Adire Oodua Hub is a resource and educational facility dedicated to the preservation of the traditional techniques of Adire textile manufacturing. The Hub raises awareness and understanding of the sustainability of Adire production through creative educational programmes for adults and children.
    Participatory learning is the foundation of the Adire teaching model. Workshops, courses, events, and special programs at the Hub allow for creative ingenuity and nurture innovation and leadership.

    The Africa Centre

    The Africa Centre is a registered charity in London, founded in 1961 and opened to the public in 1964. The centre's mission is to educate, connect, and advocate for Africa and its diaspora through cultural events, conversations, and courses. The Centre has hosted many notable people, including Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Maya Angelou, and Wole Soyinka.

    Joining Africa Fashion Week London as an Official Media Partner, Society 5.0 is a South African creative agency at the forefront of digital storytelling, influencer marketing, and brand management. Founded in Durban in 2017, the agency specialises in curating strategic campaigns that bridge culture, commerce, and community.
